Our bodies are mostly made up of water. Are you drinking enough? Do you know how much enough is? …most people aren’t and don’t.
Water is so important! There is no need to prove this. If you don’t drink it you die. This is common knowledge.
So why then do most people not drink enough? Laziness, availability, lack of knowledge, miss interpreting “I’m thirsty” for “I’m hungry”. All typical reason, but here are some reason why you should pay more attention to your water intake.
1) We are about 60%-70% made of water
2) You will have better skin
3) Bigger muscles
4) Less hunger cravings.
5) Less headaches
6) Clearer thinking.
…the benefits keep going and going.
Ok. Convinced you want to be drinking more water, but don’t know how much to drink?
Here is a rough way to estimate. For every 50 pounds you weigh drink 1L per day and then add an extra 2L on workout days.
Ex: I weigh approximately 200 pounds, so I usually drink 4L a day and 6L on days I do high intensity workouts.
If you are thirsty you are already dehydrated!
So how much water are you drinking? How much are you going to drink now?
