Day 6

The week is almost done.  Already starting to see some results, which always helps to motivate!

Today we went through a series of arm exercises focusing on my biceps and triceps.  By the end of it I was maxing out with 10 pounds.  Kind of funny.

My legs haven’t seized up yet from yesterdays leg workout, which is nice.  Although that will probably mean it will happen tomorrow.  Should be interesting.

Day 6, 78 days out.

Day 5 Legs ugh!

What can I say but ouch!

Today Micah took me through an hour long leg routine and with my calves still a little sore it was pretty brutal.  REALLY glad we didn’t go through it yesterday.

Then after doing a ton of different leg presses and lifts we went outside again to the “red hill of doom” and he made me run up it backwards while getting as low to the ground as I could.  I didn’t last long. lol

I’ve also been learning over the last couple days that those “green” drinks you sometimes see people drinking in movies aren’t that bad.

Think Batman where he wakes up all bruised chugs a green drink then starts doing pushups.

I’ve had to start drinking them as part of my comp prep nutrition plan and I’m starting to really enjoy them.  Ya ya crazy I know but I feel awesome afterwards.  My body just absorbs all the nutrients.  Fun times!!

Day 4

Apparently it’s normal for muscles not to be sore for a day then kill you 2-3 days laters.  Alright then that makes sense why I couldn’t get out of bed this morning before massaging and stretching out my calves.

Worked shoulders today.  By the end of it Micah had me doing arm rotations with no weights and I could barely keep my arms up. lol Kind of funny seeing my face in the mirror go red and veins bulging in my neck when I’m not lifting anything!  Yup laugh away but I was spent!

It was also nice meeting Brandi today one of the very successful HitchFit transformations.  She is just as positive and cheerful in person as she is on TV.  And definitely no photo shop there!  Nothing but hard work and results.

One awesome thing I love about the fitness industry is all the positive and encouraging people you get to meet.  I look forward to meeting more and hope that I can be just as encouraging.
