WBFF 2012 US Central Championships.

Well this stage of my fitness journey is completed!  …or just starting!  Haha Fitness is an ongoing journey and I will always strive to be fit and healthy.

I did not place in the top 10, which means I don’t know how I ranked. But wasn’t really surprised since this was my first show.

The competition was pretty fierce too.  There were 40 guys in the Male Fitness Model category and most of them where shredded!

Check out the top five! You can see me in the back wearing the black trunks with the white stripe.

The overall experience was definitely worthwhile.  I learned so much about health and fitness throughout the past three months of prep not to mention at the show from just talking to the other athletes.  Here are some of us backstage.

One of the models that I talked to actually started his training for the event at 5% body fat and came in at around 2.5%.  Now that’s lean.  He also finished in the top 3.

I want to say thank you to the event promoters Micah and Diana for putting on such a great show and for inspiring me to strive to be my best.

I’d also like to thank the WBFF for being such a great organization that really cares about their athletes.  I’m proud to be a part of it.

Stay Fit & Live Healthy,

Jon Felske

And one more pic of me being all GQ and rocking some white jeans.

May 12th – Post pre show.

Just finished up the 10 am pre show which is only a swim suit round.  There are a ton of guys in my division, not sure about the final count, but definitely over 50.

Right now I’m on break until 5.  Need to get some more carbs in me.  Pizza, a burger, a steak.  Any of those are ok, but I’m not craving any of them because I’m so so thirsty!  Haven’t had any water since 2pm yesterday.  Can’t wait until I’m aloud to re hydrate.

Time to eat something and maybe taking a nap.  It is seriously exhausting posing for so long.

More updates to come later.

1 Day left before the WBFF 2012 US Central Championships

This is my last day of prep before I step on stage for the first time.

Some rules.  I’ve stopped drinking water at 2,  I’m carb loading but with no sodium.  And I need to spend the day relaxing and practising posing.

I also need to decide on what high sugar food I will binge on tomorrow before stepping on stage.  Ideas anyone?  :D
